

HISTORY OF ALSA
ALSA is a non-political, non-profit association that welcomes cultural diversity and advances the professionalism and hard-working ethic that in which are the evident characteristic of Asians. ALSA has become and is continually improving as a premier association that provides the venue for bright law students to develop as future leaders and major players of Asia.

The ALSA Constitution, as the enabling law that creates the association, is in accordance with the provisions of the Swiss Civil Code. As provided for in Article 2 Section 2 of the ALSA Constitution, ALSA has its official seat in Zurich, Switzerland and is therefore recognized under Swiss law.

Currently, ALSA has around 14,000 law students and alumni from 17 national chapters all across Asia, which are Brunei Darussalam, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Macau, Myanmar, India and Cambodia.
